Accounts Payable Clerk

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Dickinson, Texas. This is a contract position designed to provide coverage during a maternity leave, offering a great opportunity to apply your financial expertise in a collaborative work environment. The role requires working 100% onsite and focuses on ensuring accurate and efficient processing of invoices and payments. Responsibilities: u2022 Process and verify invoices to ensure accurate payment records. u2022 Assign appropriate codes to invoices to maintain organized financial documentation. u2022 Conduct regular check runs to ensure timely and accurate payment processing. u2022 Review and reconcile accounts payable transactions to resolve discrepancies. u2022 Maintain thorough and up-to-date records of all accounts payable activities. u2022 Collaborate with team members to address vendor inquiries and payment issues. u2022 Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations in all payable operations. u2022 Prepare and submit reports detailing accounts payable activities. u2022 Assist in month-end closing processes related to accounts payable. u2022 Monitor and track payment schedules to avoid delays or missed deadlines. Requirements u2022 Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar financial role. u2022 Strong knowledge of invoice processing and coding procedures. u2022 Familiarity with conducting check runs and maintaining payment schedules. u2022 Ability to work onsite in Dickinson, Texas. u2022 Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. u2022 Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office tools. u2022 Effective communication skills for interacting with vendors and internal teams. u2022 Ability to adhere to deadlines and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
