This buying role will solicit and award long term agreements with key suppliers subject to FAR/DFAR regulations and indirect procurements. Successful candidates should be skilled in tactical execution of purchase orders in addition to a general knowledge of Strategic Sourcing.Location: Remote Work Considered/Hybrid - Preference is to have a local candidate in Radford, VA.Travel: Up to 10% travel is requiredSchedule: 9/80 scheduleResponsibilities:Award and manage procurements for various commoditiesWork with peer Buyers and Procurement Managers to meet objectives within a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environmentReview and analyze open purchase orders (POs); identify potential delays or risks and expedite orders as neededInterface with customers and suppliers, providing status reports, and ensuring on-time deliveriesWork directly with suppliers to troubleshoot and resolve shipping or invoicing issuesEnter and maintain Procurement documents in ERP systemFacilitate onboarding of new suppliersReview, analyze, and report procurement related data within ERP and ExcelPerform price analysis and source justifications for all procurementsExecute subcontract closeout activitiesSupport process improvement initiatives
