Summary The Finger Lakes Healthcare System has 1 vacancy for an Administrative Program Manager/Coordinator Registered Nurse at the Bath VA Medical Center in the Executive Director department. Functions as a clinical expert in and executes position responsibilities that demonstrate leadership, experience, and creative approaches to management of complex patient care. Responsibilities The Registered Nurse - Administrative Program Manager/ Coordinator Demonstrates: Demonstrates leadership, experience, and creative approaches to improvement in quality-of-care outcomes. The RN collects data, monitors staff compliance with relevant policies, directives, and standards, provides reports detailing trends, and provides direct staff support to all services. Able to effectively conduct reviews, accurately analyze data and develop and present effective information that can be utilized to make relevant decisions related to nursing care, patient/resident outcomes, quality measures and facility performance. Participates in several facility and VISN councils, committees, and workgroups. Executes the position responsibilities that demonstrate effective leadership, detailed planning, professional communication, creative and innovative approaches to the improvement of safety/healthcare program development and possess an ability to organize priorities. The RN performs duties directly contributing to high quality and safe patient care within the Veterans Health Administration (VHA). Ability to apply specialized principles and practices to ensure a systems approach to healthcare delivery. Takes a leadership role with interdisciplinary teams in facilitating the process of implementing all nursing informatics, templates and documentation packages. Assists nursing, medical providers, and quality management with updates to nursing and provider templates to assist the facility in meeting clinical documentation requirements. Responsible for coordinating and managing the Controlled Substance Inspection Program in accord with regulatory agencies, VHA, OIG, Network, and facility requirements. Provides educational assistance and policy development and implementation guidance in the area of controlled substance inspection and management.
