Accounts Payable Specialist

Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Delray Beach, Florida. This role is ideal for professionals with a strong background in managing invoices, payments, and financial coding within a dynamic environment. As part of the investment management industry, you will play a key role in maintaining smooth financial operations. Responsibilities: u2022 Process and manage a high volume of invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely completion. u2022 Verify purchase orders against invoices and monitor aging reports to maintain financial compliance. u2022 Post payments to corresponding invoices and ensure proper account coding. u2022 Conduct regular check runs and oversee Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions. u2022 Handle data input tasks with precision and attention to detail. u2022 Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth implementation and integration of new systems. u2022 Train on and adapt to financial software as needed for operational efficiency. u2022 Maintain clear and organized financial records for auditing and reporting purposes. u2022 Identify and resolve discrepancies in accounts payable processes. u2022 Support additional accounting functions as required to meet business needs. Requirements u2022 Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounts payable or related financial roles. u2022 Proficiency in coding invoices and managing account coding processes. u2022 Familiarity with Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions and check run procedures. u2022 Strong attention to detail and ability to handle high-volume invoice processing. u2022 Experience with financial software systems; willingness to learn new platforms. u2022 Excellent organizational and time management skills. u2022 Effective communication skills for collaboration with team members and vendors. u2022 Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
