Overview: The Manager, HR PMO is responsible for leading the successful delivery of complex, high-impact HR projects that enable business strategy and enhance the associate experience. This role oversees a team of HR Project Managers and partners closely with HR and business stakeholders to ensure work is aligned, well-governed, and delivers meaningful outcomes. In addition to delivery, this role plays a key part in strengthening and evolving the HR Project Management function by advancing standards, building capability, and driving consistency and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities: Leadership of the Function: u2022 Oversee the delivery of HR projects to ensure work is executed in alignment with established standards, tools, and methodologies. u2022 Establish and maintain strong project governance practices, including clear decision-making structures, prioritization, accountability, and visibility into progress, risks, and dependencies. u2022 Drive consistency and rigor in how projects are planned, executed, and reported. u2022 Foster strong partnerships with HR leaders and HR and business stakeholders to ensure alignment and effective delivery of work. u2022 Provide thought partnership to HR leaders to shape initiatives, clarify priorities, and translate business needs into structured, actionable solutions. u2022 Lead the ongoing evolution of the function through continuous improvement of processes, templates, tools, and ways of working. Leadership of the Team: u2022 Lead, develop, and support a team of HR Project Managers, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and strategic thinking. u2022 Provide coaching, feedback, and development opportunities to strengthen capability and support career growth. u2022 Promote transparency, knowledge sharing, and continuous learning across the team. u2022 Ensure appropriate workload balance and resource alignment to meet business needs. Leadership of Individual Projects: u2022 Lead and oversee the delivery of complex, high-impact HR projects, ensuring clarity of scope, outcomes, and success measures. u2022 Identify and proactively manage risks, issues, and cross-functional dependencies. u2022 Maintain strong stakeholder alignment and facilitate timely decision-making. u2022 Serve as a trusted partner to HR and business leaders, providing structure, insights, and guidance throughout the project lifecycle. Required Qualifications: u2022 Bachelor's Degree required, concentration in Business, Management, Marketing, Communication, Human Resources, Change Management preferred u2022 3 years of experience in Project Management, HR or a related role u2022 Strong project management skills including planning, prioritization, critical thinking and execution u2022 Ability to influence with and without authority u2022 Comfort navigating ambiguity and competing priorities u2022 Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Preferred Qualifications: u2022 Previous experience leading others u2022 PMP or other program management certification a plus u2022 Experience working within an HR function or on HR transformation initiatives u2022 Familiarity with change management principles u2022 Experience operating in a matrixed, global, or highly distributed environment About Penske Truck Leasing/Transportation Solutions Penske Truck Leasing/Transportation Solutions is a premier global transportation provider that delivers essential and innovative transportation, logistics and technology services to help companies and people move forward.
