Job Summary The Financial Analyst is primarily responsible for the coordination of the external financial statement audit serving as a resource to provide and review audit supporting documents and liaise with our external auditors. In addition to coordinating the external audit the position will assist with researching technical accounting matters and facilitating internal control reviews. This position reports to the Manager of Technical Accounting & Valuations. Responsibilities: To include a combination of the following: u00b7 Coordinate audit activities for the IFRS audit between external auditors and Compass departments u00b7 Interact with external auditors to resolve audit questions and issues that arise u00b7 Assist with the annual audit process for the Benefit Plans, including preparation of stand-alone financial statements u00b7 Prepare, gather, and analyze external and internal audit supporting documents u00b7 Improve current project processes to increase the accuracy, efficiency or effectiveness of daily activities and to ensure they achieve project objectives. u00b7 Continuously interact and develop strong relationships with external auditors as well as internal Compass associates to promote open and timely communication. u00b7 Support other activities completed by the Audit Services team, including audit closing presentations, management reports, etc. u00b7 Research and document technical accounting questions u00b7 Facilitate internal control reviews u00b7 Perform special projects as assigned Required Qualifications: u00b7 Bacheloru2019s Degree in Accounting u00b7 CPA or in pursuance of the CPA license u00b7 1-3 years Public Accounting audit experience u00b7 Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects u00b7 Strong organization skills u00b7 Detail oriented with strong analytical skills, with strong risk awareness and thorough understanding of processes and controls u00b7 Strong interpersonal and communication skills u00b7 Ability to work with others at various levels across multiple functions u00b7 Ability to work independently and possess strong problem solving skills Preferred Qualifications: u00b7 International clients experience a plus u00b7 SAP & Essbase experience a plus u00b7 Proficiency in Excel and Access u00b7 Solid knowledge of IFRS and USGAAP u00b7 Effective team player u00b7 SOX/Internal Controls experience Apply to Compass Group today Click here to Learn More about the Compass Story ( Compass Group is an equal opportunity employer.
