CNC Programmer

Responsibilities + Develop, edit, and optimize CNC programs using Mastercam for milling, turning, and multi spindle machines. + Determine tooling, workholding, speeds/feeds, and machining strategies for new and existing parts. + Support setup personnel during machine setups, first-piece validation, and troubleshooting. + Lead or contribute to process improvement projects aimed at reducing cycle time, improving quality, and increasing machine utilization. + Coordinate machining activities across multiple machines and operators to maintain workflow and meet production schedules. + Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and customer specifications to ensure accurate part production. + Conduct root-cause analysis for machining issues and implement corrective actions. + Maintain accurate documentation for programs, revisions, and processes. Essential Skills + Proficient at programming using Mastercam 2019 or similar. + Ability to set-up jobs in the most effective and efficient manner. + A high degree of flexibility to quickly shift tasks as priorities demand. + Must be able to consistently hold tolerances of +/- .002u201d. + Ability to mentor others. + 3u20135+ years of CNC programming experience in a precision machining environment. + Proficiency in Mastercam (milling & turning modules). + Hands-on experience with multi spindle or multi axis CNC equipment. + Strong experience in both milling and turning operations. + Proven experience leading or supporting continuous improvement and process optimization initiatives. + Strong understanding of machining fundamentals, GD&T, tooling, and quality standards. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Frankfort, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $43.27 - $57.69/hr.
