Job Title: Permitting Specialist Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Permitting Specialist to join a growing telecommunications and infrastructure company. This role focuses on coordinating and tracking permits for both commercial and residential projects. You will collaborate closely with project managers, municipalities, and third-party agencies to ensure permits are processed accurately and in a timely manner. This opportunity arises from company growth and offers a chance to be part of a close-knit team of approximately 57 employees. Responsibilities + Prepare and submit comprehensive permit packages. + Track permit statuses and timelines diligently. + Maintain strong relationships with municipal contacts. + Communicate updates effectively to internal teams. + Ensure all documentation is organized and accurate. Essential Skills + Proficiency in permitting processes and blueprint interpretation. + Experience coordinating permits with municipalities and other agencies. + Strong organizational and time-management skills. + Ability to track multiple permits simultaneously. + Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word). + Clear written and verbal communication skills. + Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. + Familiarity with Telecom, AutoCAD, zoning, and wireless technologies. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Strong attention to detail and documentation skills. + Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines. + Willingness to travel locally as needed for permit drop-off or pickup. + Comfortable working in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment. + Experience in telecom or civil construction (field or office-based) is a plus. + AutoCAD 2D experience is advantageous. + Experience with Smartsheet or similar project-tracking software. + Prior permitting experience for commercial and residential projects is beneficial. Work Environment Join a growing company with a strong presence in the Midwest. This is a fully remote role with company-provided equipment, offering exposure to both commercial and residential projects. The role requires 40u201350 hours per week based on project workload and supports projects across Michigan, Indiana, and Kentucky. Enjoy quarterly in-person or virtual employee meetings and work in a collaborative environment with project managers, field teams, and leadership. This position offers the opportunity to transition from field experience into an office-based role. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Macomb, MI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
