Job Title: Estimator Job Description The Estimator plays a critical role in supporting the sales and engineering teams by developing accurate, timely, and competitive cost estimates for the fabrication of custom projects. This role requires a strong understanding of fabrication processes, ability to navigate blueprint drawings, and knowledge of geometry and trigonometry. The ability to process material specifications, regulatory standards, and customer requirements is also necessary. The Estimator, alongside other departments, ensures that proposals are technically sound, financially viable, and aligned with company capabilities and strategic goals. Responsibilities + Develop accurate and competitive cost estimates for custom fabrication projects. + Support sales and engineering teams by providing detailed proposals. + Ensure proposals are technically sound and financially viable. + Understand and apply fabrication processes, blueprint drawings, geometry, and trigonometry. + Process material specifications and regulatory standards. Essential Skills + Bacheloru2019s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field. + 3+ years of estimating experience in heavy fabrication, pressure vessels, or industrial manufacturing. + Proficiency in estimating software such as Compress and Excel-based tools. + Strong understanding of welding, rolling, machining, and finishing processes. + Familiarity with relevant codes and standards. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Ability to learn from team members and adapt as work volume increases. Work Environment The position involves estimating the cost of pressure vessels and creating BOMs. The work environment is a modest shop located in Cambridge, with a small team focused on collaboration and learning. #mneng26 Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Isanti, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $36.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
