Family Law Attorney

Description We are looking for an experienced Family Law Attorney to join our team in either Parsippany, New Jersey or Hackensack, New Jersey. This role requires a strong background in family and divorce law, exceptional interpersonal skills, and the ability to manage complex cases with empathy and professionalism. The ideal candidate will excel in consultative selling, demonstrate business acumen, and have a proactive approach to networking and client acquisition. Responsibilities: u2022 Oversee and manage all aspects of clients' family law cases, ensuring tasks and events are handled efficiently. u2022 Provide empathetic support to clients, addressing emotional challenges and case complexities with professionalism. u2022 Collect evidence, conduct research, and prepare for trial through client and witness interviews. u2022 Draft legal briefs, motions, and court documents while developing strategic case arguments. u2022 Represent clients in court proceedings and before administrative or quasi-judicial agencies. u2022 Interpret laws, rulings, and regulations to offer sound legal advice to individuals and businesses. u2022 Collaborate with colleagues to verify legal strategies and ensure thorough preparation for cases. u2022 Engage in marketing and networking activities to attract new clients and expand the firm's reach. u2022 Maintain accurate tracking of billable and non-billable hours, meeting or exceeding minimum expectations. u2022 Participate in the contracting process for retained legal services and contribute to local business development efforts. Requirements u2022 A minimum of 4 years of experience practicing family law. u2022 Active licensure as an attorney in the state of New Jersey. u2022 Proficiency in drafting motions, briefs, and conducting discovery processes. u2022 Strong analytical skills to synthesize complex information and develop effective case strategies. u2022 Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with clients and colleagues effectively. u2022 Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing circumstances and manage competing priorities. u2022 Proven track record of networking and business development to attract and retain clients. u2022 Adept at problem-solving, with the ability to address emotional and sensitive topics professionally.
