Job Description

Job Title: Assembly Technician Job Description Plan and perform a wide variety of fitting, assembly, installation, and alignment of complicated parts to meet exacting customer tolerances and operating requirements. Read and interpret blueprints and specifications to determine sequence, tooling requirements, measurements, and allowable tolerances. Build various parts and install boxes and special components for the truck design. Ensure the safe and proper operation by filling vehicle systems with the appropriate fluids and testing the action of moving parts prior to final inspection. Manage inventory by checking in parts, equipment, and vehicles, and assist with organizing parts and equipment. Maintain a clean work area, shop, and warehouse. Responsibilities + Build vehicles according to work instructions and prints. + Safely mount and connect mechanical and electrical equipment. + Test installed parts prior to final inspection. + Verify all line items have been completed on the work order. + Communicate suggestions and errors to relevant departments for continuous improvement. + Inspect for safe operation workmanship, alignment, operating performance, and mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical requirements. + Check trucku2019s vital fluid levels and adjust to specifications. + Review finished products before delivery to the customer. + Ensure proper decaling meets customeru2019s specifications. + Record any defective equipment and organize data to assist in training shop employees on production errors. + Comply with the companyu2019s safety policies and clean initiative standards. Essential Skills + 1-3 years of previous electrical, welding/fabrication, hydraulic, mechanical, and equipment assembly experience. + Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools. + Basic Microsoft skills. + Understanding of electrical schematics and 12V circuits. + Troubleshoot problems. + Ability to think independently and request assistance when needed. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Completion or current enrollment in an accredited Technical School. + Must be able to work in multiple environments u2013 shop, outside in all types of weather conditions as well as in an office. + Ability to perform within established company standards, including standard operating procedures, attendance, quality, team environment, and performance. Work Environment The position is based in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing facility with fans to provide cooling during the summer. The role involves working both in the shop and outdoors in various weather conditions. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Ladson, SC. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your jobclassification and length of employment.
