CNC Programmer - East Granby, CT

Lead CNC Programmer (Turning & Mill) 1st shift (Mon-Fri 8am u2013 5pm) $90,000k - $110,000k per year Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, 401K with match Core Responsibilities: u2022 Lead turning and milling programming development, instruction, and debugging tasks in collaboration with Repair Development Engineers, Process Engineers, and machining leads. u2022 Directly support operations with NC programming changes to address issues on an as needed basis. u2022 Directly support NPI development with new NC programs. u2022 Collaborate with Repair Development Engineers and machining leads on fixturing development. u2022 Work with Process Engineers with CAD model development and validation for milling and turning operations. u2022 Work directly with Senior Engineering staff on various engineering initiatives. Qualifications: u2022 Five or more years direct experience in lathe, VTL, 3/4/5 axis milling CNC programming. Experience processing nickel, cobalt, and titanium based alloys in Aerospace machining operations. u2022 Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to interact with all levels of employees. u2022 Proficient in performing full set-ups, program edits, and holding high precision tolerances. Ability to program with CAM (NX preferred) and manually as necessary. u2022 Familiarity with Repair Technical Data e.g. Engine Repair Manuals, Service Bulletins, OEM approved supplemental data, etc a plus. u2022 Must have experience authoring typical shop process planning paperwork e.g. Tool Sheets, Setup Sheets, Routers, Operation Sheets, Inspection Forms, etc. Education Requirements: u2022 Bacheloru2019s Degree in Engineering a plus This position is a safety sensitive position.
