Description: We are _Lockheed Martin_ This exciting position is with our historic Skunk Works program. Skunk Works is an integral part of Lockheed's Aeronautics business area responsible for advanced systems development including conceptual design and rapid prototyping of clean sheet solutions and improvements and derivatives to existing systems. The ideal skunk is an agile, multi-faceted teammate who loves to solve our customer's most difficult challenges. Some of our unclassified projects include the U-2, SR-71 Blackbird, F-22 Raptor, F-117 Nighthawk, and the F-35 Lightening II. Learn more about some of the incredible things we do here: This role manages salary non-exempt employees in ADP Special Programs at a remote site. u2022 Must be able to work any shift required. u2022 Lead the maintenance team that will be flight testing various ADP designed vehicles. u2022 Provide estimates for proposal purposes; plans and executes flight tests of aircraft, components and vehicles. u2022 Work from blueprints, drawings, or verbal instructions using math and basic computer skills u2022 Responsible for the assignment of work, technical interpretations and compliance with prescribed flight test and manufacturing policies and procedures u2022 Coordination of ranges, test start-ups, shutdowns, and changeovers u2022 Plan and coordinate internal and external flight test programs within ADP Special Projects, working to project schedules and budgets. u2022 Monitor and verify cost and quality in accordance with program requirements or other control procedures. u2022 Responsible to develop new manufacturing technologies supporting future platforms. u2022 Ideal candidate will lead a team responsible for Flight Test operations, and specific system maintenance and operational checkouts to include but not limited to electrical and environmental control systems, hydraulics, fuel, power plant, structures, and primary and secondary flight control rigging. u2022 Candidate will lead test activities to accomplish cost, schedule, and quality objectives. u2022 Candidate will be responsible to provide a safe work environment and take immediate action to address any unsafe conditions. Implement and enforce importance of FOD, general housekeeping, and 6S Standards. u2022 Must be able to work weekends/holidays and support flexible shift scheduling. Successful candidate must be willing to travel to remote site locations for extended periods of time. Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access. This position is in Las Vegas, NV Basic Qualifications: u2022 Previous experience in a flight test environment (flight test, avionics, system checkout, metallic and composite assemblies) u2022 Active aircraft flight line experience. u2022 Prior leadership/management experience in a Flight Operations environment. u2022 Experience in planning projects, developing manpower plans, forecasting budget requirements and tracking execution (EVMS) for manufacturing efforts. u2022 Must be willing to work flexible work schedules and weekends as required to meet mission requirements u2022 Must have Top Secret Clearance to start Desired Skills: Desired skills : u2022 Experience interpreting blueprints, manufacturing procedures, instruction manuals, specifications and engineering orders to clarify and resolve such functional problems related to production, processing, fabrication, and assembly. u2022 Flight Test of air vehicles, manned and unmanned. u2022 Experience clearing aircraft for release for flight. u2022 Understanding of materials and hardware and their properties. u2022 Strong written and interpersonal communication and presentation skills. u2022 Job estimating and design for manufacturing review experience u2022 Current of new manufacturing processes and techs, Prototyping Manufacturing Experience u2022 Ability to determine priorities of scheduled and drop in work. u2022 Familiar with manufacturing execution systems (SFM, ERP4C, Etc.) u2022 Bachelor's Degree u2022 Experience and knowledge in supervising hourly employees. u2022 Previously held Air Force 7vl or Navy/USMC MOS equivalent. u2022 Ability to drive actions to meet or exceed customer satisfaction. u2022 Ability to work under consultative direction towards predetermined long-range goals and objectives. Determine and pursue courses of action necessary to obtain desired results. u2022 Ability to use good judgment and make timely decisions. u2022 Experience running aircraft engines. u2022 Experience with manufacturing systems such as SFM (Shop Floor Management), EWI (Electronic Work Instructions) and the QADS (Quality Assurance Documentation System) or other industry related manufacturing operating systems. u2022 Experience in troubleshooting specific system maintenance, operational checkouts to include but not limited to electrical and environmental control systems, hydraulics, fuel, power plant, structures, and primary and secondary flight control rigging. Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
