As Health Unit Coordinator (HUC), you willofferunparalleled customer service to patients,visitorsand employeesto enhance the Cleveland Clinic experience.Using your administrative and clerical skills, you will ensure efficient operational flow of the department, allowing your fellow caregivers to continue providingoptimalpatient care.A caregiver in this position worksfull-time3:00pm—11:30pm every other weekend and 1 summer 1 winter holiday this rolefloatto other departments.A caregiver who excels in this role will:Conduct an in-person greeting, welcome and orientation to the unit for newly admitted and transferred patients.Respond to patient call lights and make rounds.Assistwith processing patient admissions,transfersand discharges.Assistpatients and families with wayfinding and direct them to available resources.Assemble andmaintainpatient medical records and other documents related to patient care.Assistwith unit clerical functions and in trouble-shooting equipment failures, such as call system, portable phones,WOWsand other unit devices.Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:HighSchoolDiploma or GEDOneyear of experience in a customer service-related roleExperience with typing, computer training or equivalentPreferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:CollegeDegreeMicrosoft Office experiencePhysical Requirements: Requires full range of motion, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination.Requires frequent data entry, standing and walking for extensive periods of time.Requires normal or corrected speech, hearing and vision.Requires some exposure to communicable disease or body fluids.Personal Protective Equipment:Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.Pay RangeMinimum hourly: $18.25Maximum hourly: $24.95The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires.
