We are looking for an experienced consulting professional with deep expertise in Medication Process clinical workflows-specifically Medication Administration and Specimen Collection (Point of Care). You will operate independently to deliver high-quality work products and perform varied, complex duties requiring independent judgment to implement Oracle Health Point of Care solutions to meet customer needs. You will apply Oracle methodology, company procedures, and leading practices while working across the continuum of nurses, providers, pharmacists, phlebotomists, lab professionals, and clinical informaticists. As a Principal Consultant, you will play a key role in consulting with clients from current state assessments through future state workflow and solution design, build, testing, and go-live support. You will lead and/or contribute to remote and onsite deployment events, deliver professional formal presentations to site-level and national SMEs, and ensure solution design supports barcode medication administration (BCMA), scanning compliance, and nursing specimen collection workflows. Career Level: IC3 Responsibilities + Conduct current state assessments and data collection by partnering with site-level and national subject matter experts via calls, email, and in-person sessions to support Point of Care Medication Administration and Specimen Collection deployments. + Document end-to-end workflows, including medication administration workflows and specimen collection workflows, and translate findings into build/configuration requirements. + Perform activities associated with solution build, auditing, testing, and issue management; communicate status and proactively escalate risks/concerns to clients and project leadership. + Lead or support deployment activities aligned to standardized methodology, including remote and onsite events and formal presentations to clinical and operational stakeholders (nurses, providers, pharmacists, phlebotomists, lab professionals, and informatics). + Provide expertise in barcode scanning logic and BCMA troubleshooting; advise on workflow design to improve scanning compliance and reduce workarounds. + Support configuration and maintenance of key build components and tools (including DCPTools.exe capabilities such as Response Task Linking, Order Catalog, Nurse Witness configuration, Barcode Format Builder Tool, and Order Task Tool). + Support build and workflow requirements related to: + Medication Barcode scanning logic (order/task/barcode/product relationship and workflow) + Medication documentation workflow and practices (order placement, pharmacy verification, medication administration) + Barcode scanning compliance reporting + Applicable code sets (Routes/Sites of Administration, Override Reasons) + Contribute to/perform work in related areas as needed: Immunization documentation parameters (NDC, lot/expiration, schedule), MAR layout and documentation, additional charting elements, scanner configuration, Discern Rules, and preferences/privileges pertinent to medication administration. + Use Remedy for issue management and maintain clear documentation and follow-through through resolution. + Maintain billable utilization as set by business leadership; some weeks may exceed 45 hours as needed to meet project demands. + Travel 50-80% based on business needs (including periods of sustained travel). Go-live and critical events may require travel outside normal business hours and on weekends. Preferred/Desired Focus Areas: Scanfest, medication administration workflows, NDC scanning logic. Bonus: Experience with Connect Nursing. Optional/Nice to Have: Experience with IDN and/or large enterprise deployments (e.g., federal deployment and/or large health system environments). Responsibilities Basic Qualifications + At least 8 years total combined related work experience and completed higher education, including: + At least 2 years healthcare information technology (HCIT) consulting, HCIT support and/or other client-facing or information technology (IT) solution work experience + 5+ years of overall experience in relevant functional or technical roles including knowledge and experience with the Oracle Health Medication Process/Point of Care product(s) . Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience. Product or technical expertise relevant to practice focus. Ability to communicate effectively and build rapport with team members and clients. + Demonstrated expertise in barcode medication administration (BCMA) scanning logic and medication documentation workflows. + Strong ability to independently manage complex tasks, priorities, and deliverables across multiple projects. + Proven capability to present complex information clearly to clinical and executive stakeholders. + Ability to travel 50- 80% as required, including go-live support outside business hours/weekends. Preferred Qualifications + Bachelor’s degree. + Experience with Point of Care Medication Administration and Specimen Collection solution build, auditing, testing, and deployment. + Proficiency with: + Barcode scanning compliance reporting and remediation of workflow gaps + Immunization documentation parameters (NDC, lot number, expiration date, schedule) + MAR layout/design, documentation practices, and operational use + IV CMS infusion billing concepts (as applicable to documentation/workflow) + BCMA troubleshooting steps and scanner configuration + Discern Rules + PowerChart Specimen Collection (nursing workflow) + Security/preferences/privileges related to medication administration (e.g., maw_ad_hoc_med, suppress_nurse_review, direct_charting, encounter filter, early/late minutes) + Remedy issue management + Experience with Scanfest and/or NDC scanning logic in complex care environments. + Experience supporting large-scale, multi-facility deployments and/or IDN environments; federal deployment exposure a plus. Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only US: Hiring Range in USD from: $71,200 to $158,200 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
