This position requires working in environments with variation in temperature and humidity (e.g., dry, cooler and freezer areas of the trailer, a long with changing outdoor weather conditions.) Product will be segregated into freezer, cooler, dry and chemicals. + Assist the driver with identifying the product(s) on the delivery truck under various lighting conditions that may exist in the trailer or delivery truck. + Learn product descriptions and box types to assist in the proper delivery of product at each location. + Assist the driver in placing stock into the proper delivery zone in the store (freezer, cooler and dry). + Lift boxes and bags of varying sizes and weights frequently during the course of a day. + Divert traffic to promote a safe working environment for the driver to back up into the store parking lot and delivery area. Guide the driver through parking lots. + Navigate through busy parking lots and intersections while delivering product using a two-wheel hand truck, an electric or manual pallet jack. + Climb in and out to the tractor and trailers repeatedly throughout the day. + Safely operate the side and rear lift gates on the delivery vehicles. + Assist the driver with any other requests within safety guidelines and/or company policy.
