Aligns with site-specific Care Coordinators to ensure cases are prepared for each Tumor Board at least one week before the scheduled meeting. Coordinates various tumor boards annually, including scheduling, room arrangements, and coordination with satellite locations. Assimilates patient case presentations with presenting physicians, radiologists, pathologists, and other allied health care professionals. Develops and provides schedules, appropriate signage, and correspondence to physicians, leadership, and other allied health care professionals. Maintains and updates mailing lists with Medical Director and administrative leadership for all Tumor Board activities. Maintains statistical database tracking for tumor sites, satellite locations, physician/nurse attendance, Tumor Registry, and CME/CEU requirements. Prepares CME/CEU accreditation paperwork, submits applications, and maintains CME/CEU records. Executes medical videoconferencing for Tumor Boards at various campuses, including setting up and operating equipment. Liaises with pharmaceutical companies to secure exhibitor and grant sponsorship for conference activities. Performs other duties as assigned to ensure the smooth operation of the department. Other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: u2022 Ability to serve as liaison with the medical staff, other healthcare professionals, and pharmaceutical company representatives. [Required] u2022 Strong organizational abilities, follow-up, and follow through skills. [Preferred] u2022 Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.) and familiarity with MS365 applications (Access, OneDrive, Teams). [Preferred] u2022 Equipment skills: Proficiency in using medical grade LCD, videoconferencing equipment, switchers, splitters, PACS, multiple laptops, light box, wireless touch panels, document camera, microphones, etc. [Preferred] u2022 Knowledge of Hospital Systems (PACS, IEXTEND, Sunport, and etc.). [Preferred] u2022 Customer Service skills. [Required] u2022 Fluent in the English language. [Required] u2022 Must possess a high degree of concentration and precision for detail. [Required] u2022 Understanding of rules and regulations regarding privacy and confidentiality of patient information. [Required] u2022 Effective communication and strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across various disciplines that foster trust. [Required] u2022 Ability to work in a self-directed environment and collaboratively with teams. [Required] u2022 Knowledge of various electronic medical records and Electronic Health Record experience. [Preferred] u2022 Background in medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, and data collection principles. [Preferred] Education: u2022 Associate [Preferred] u2022 High School Grad or Equiv [Required] Field of Study: u2022 Associate in Business, Marketing or Health Science preferred Work Experience: u2022 2+ medical terminology and/or experience in a hospital setting [Required] u2022 College education in healthcare related field or clerical sciences, or related medical experience.
