Description: You will be the Structures Analysis Engineer - IFG for the Integrated Fighter Group which is responsible for delivering cuttingu2011edge structural solutions to advanced fighter aircraft. What You Will Be Doing As the Structures Analysis Engineer - IFG you will be responsible for applying advanced stress analysis techniques to ensure the airworthiness and performance of fighteru2011aircraft structures. You will work closely with production, sustainment, and test teams to turn complex engineering challenges into reliable, highu2011impact solutions. Your responsibilities will include: + Support Fu201116 Production and Fu201122 Sustainment Material Review Board (MRB) repairs to ensure discrepant parts or assemblies meet required strength standards. + Perform stress analysis on metallic and composite materials, sizing detail parts and assessing the strength of primary and secondary aircraft structures and systems. + Certify new and existing designs by performing strength analysis, releasing drawings, and preparing analysis reports. + Evaluate and compare structural efficiency and weight for different structural arrangements and concepts through analysis and trade studies. + Provide input for structural tests, including test requirements, loads, and predicted results. Further Information About This Opportunity MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN u2013This position is located at a facility that requiresspecial access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secretclearance. Basic Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in an engineering technical discipline such as Mechanical, Aerospace, or Civil Engineering - Experience with structural analysis of primary and secondary airframe structure - Experience with metallic and composite analysis Desired Skills: - Experience with free-body diagrams, classical hand calculations, Finite Element Analysis (FEA) pre- and post-processing, Linux or other computer languages - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Ability to collaborate in a team-based environment - Proficient with Microsoft Office Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration. Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
