Accounts Receivable Specialist

Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team in Buffalo, New York. This Contract to permanent position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute your skills in managing financial transactions and ensuring the accuracy of cash flow operations. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in accounts receivable processes, including collections, billing, and cash applications. Responsibilities: u2022 Process and manage accounts receivable transactions to ensure timely and accurate recording of all financial activities. u2022 Oversee commercial collections efforts, maintaining effective communication with clients to resolve outstanding balances. u2022 Apply cash receipts to customer accounts, ensuring proper allocation and reconciliation. u2022 Handle billing functions, including preparing invoices and verifying their accuracy before distribution. u2022 Monitor daily cash activity to ensure proper reporting and compliance with financial standards. u2022 Investigate and resolve discrepancies related to payments or account balances. u2022 Generate detailed reports on accounts receivable status, providing insights to management. u2022 Collaborate with other departments to improve processes and enhance operational efficiency. u2022 Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements during all financial operations. Requirements u2022 Proven experience in accounts receivable processes, including cash applications and collections. u2022 Strong knowledge of commercial billing functions and financial reporting. u2022 Proficiency in managing cash activity and reconciling accounts. u2022 Excellent communication skills for client interactions and resolving account disputes. u2022 Attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial data. u2022 Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines. u2022 Familiarity with financial software and tools used for accounts receivable operations. u2022 Understanding of regulatory requirements related to financial transactions.
