Business Development Analyst/Manager IC - Interstate Pipelines Job ID #: 32095 Location: TX-HOUSTON Functional Area: Commercial Position Type: Full Time Experience Required: 5 - 7 Years Relocation Provided: May be Considered Education Required: Bachelors Degree RC/Department: 5084 -PRESIDENT-INTERSTATE GAS PL :KMPL Position Description The Business Development Analyst/Manager IC position is responsible for supporting the commercial development and execution of pipeline and gas storage growth projects for Natural Gas Pipeline Company of America (NGPL), part of Kinder Morganu2019s Gas Pipeline Group. This position provides the opportunity to interact with senior management and help drive the successful completion of projects in a supportive role. Job Responsibilities will include: + Work closely with Business Development team to evaluate, implement and commercialize business development strategy + Support the Origination and manage the development of projects that will enhance the profitability of NGPL, which may include major capital expansions, acquisitions and new project development. + Identify prospects, develop and maintain models, and prepare draft agreements with potential customers and/or counterparties for approved projects. + Coordinate multi-discipline, cross-functional teams to produce scopes of work, identify projectsu2019 risks, and produce cost estimates. Departmental interactions will include Facilities Design, Engineering, Environmental, Land, Legal, Accounting, Marketing and Regulatory. + Evaluate economics for projects and prepare management presentations + Develop and maintain relationships with new and/or existing customers and other key industry representatives. + Perform market and competitor analysis. + Develop working knowledge of pipeline tariffs + Other duties as assigned Position may be filled at the various levels, commensurate with experience and skillset of the successful candidate. Position Requirements Education: + Bacheloru2019s Degree (preferred); studies in Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing, Accounting, or Finance, or related field of study Experience, Skills & Knowledge: + Five (5) yearsu2019 experience in the energy industry preferred, with specific experience in developing new business investment opportunities + Ability to analyze aspects of a natural gas business arrangement (technical, financial, contractual, legal, operational and marketing) + Experience building and performing financial modeling, with extensive knowledge in finance, mathematics and statistics + Must have well developed oral and written communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills + Must have the ability to influence without authority by working with a wide variety of people, internally and externally, with tact, courtesy and professionalism while driving for positive results + Organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks are essential + Must possess strong attention to detail skills + Must be able to handle multiple tasks and priorities + Demonstrate superior PC skills with extensive experience using Python, Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and GIS mapping software + Must be a problem solver with the ability to find resolutions + Must be self-motivated and capable of working with minimal supervision and/or direction + Must be flexible and able to work effectively in a team environment and consistently maintain a professional and respectful demeanor/attitude with co-workers, clients, vendors, and regulatory agencies + Ultimate job level will be determined based on the successful candidatesu2019 skills, qualifications and experience + Expereince with power development projects or power marketing is advantageous Kinder Morgan Offers: + Competitive wages; job level and salary commensurate with experience and skill sets + 401(k) Savings Plans + Retirement Plan + Comprehensive Medical/Rx and Dental Plans + Paid Time Off + Paid Holidays + Bonus Program + Paid Bus Pass or Parking EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER STATEMENT: We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and do not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, color, sex, age, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, status as a veteran, and basis of disability or any other federal, state or local protected class.
