This is a full-time hybrid role for a Staff Hydrogeologist based inPortland, OR, with the option to work remotely part-time. The StaffHydrogeologist will assist project managers in the execution ofhydrogeologic and water resources projects, support fieldinvestigations, assist with data collection and analyses, and contributeto preparation of technical reports to document project findings. Fieldresponsibilities may include measuring water levels in wells, providingoversight during well drilling and rehabilitation projects, conductingaquifer testing, and collecting soil and water samples for laboratoryanalysis. Office responsibilities may include analyzing quantitativedata, providing scientific interpretations, preparing technical reports,planning and implementing water right transactions, participating inteam and client meetings for project scoping and to present findings andresults. Qualifications BA or BS degree in geology, hydrogeology, waterresource engineering, or closely related field; MS degree stronglypreferred. Minimum of two years of successful and relevant experience,including project work in groundwater supply, water resources, and/orwater rights. Strong project management, problem-solving, andcommunication skills. Ability to manage tasks and schedules for multipleprojects and provide technical assistance in both the field and officein support of groundwater supply investigations, including mediasampling, subcontractor oversight, quantitative data analysis, reportpreparation, and presentation of findings. Effective communicationskills, including technical writing and the demonstrated ability tospeak clearly in public to convey technical ideas to a non-technicalaudience. Oregon and/or Washington Geologist Registration (RG, PG,and/or LHG) or ability to obtain within three years; Certified WaterRights Examiner (CWRE), a plus. Familiarity with GIS, data analysis, andmodeling software is advantageous. This position requires the abilityand willingness to: Periodically work a flexible schedule, occasionallyin excess of 40 hours, and possible evenings, weekends, and holidaysbased on project requirements. Undertake periodic travel, includingpossible short-and long-term assignments to remote project locations,primarily in Oregon and Washington. Work in varying and adverse weatherconditions and traverse varying terrain. Lift and carry up to 50 pounds.Work independently, with professionalism and excellent responsiveness,communication, and interpersonal skills. Be eligible to work in theUnited States. Possess a valid driver's license and maintain a drivingrecord acceptable to our insurer
