Description Job Summary The Senior Right-of-Way & Utility Coordinator leads utility and access coordination for FAA infrastructure and modernization projects. This role proactively identifies and resolves conflicts, secures approvals, and ensures schedule adherence while supporting multiple complex projects. The Senior Coordinator works closely with project leadership, engineers, contractors, utility providers, and regulatory agencies to drive timely, compliant, and efficient project delivery. This position is a 3-year term assignment contingent upon contract award. Continued employment beyond the 3-year term is not guaranteed and will be based on business needs and contract requirements. Primary Job Functions + Coordinate closely with Permit Manager, Operations Lead, and Project Director on all right-of-way and utility activities. + Coordinate Right of Way (ROW) and access requirements for trenching, conduit installation, and utility lines. + Coordinate with utility providers (power, telecom, water, sewer, stormwater) to locate, mark, protect, or relocate utilities. + Proactively identify right-of-way and utility risks, conflicts, and potential impacts to project schedules, and coordinate with engineering and construction teams to ensure proper design integration, construction sequencing, and on-time project delivery. + Communicate with landowners, attorneys, public officials, engineers, and others to gain land rights that support company projects and customer requests. + Receive, review, coordinate, and process right-of-way and utility permit applications. + Maintain a Utility Coordination Log documenting contacts, approvals, and constraints. + Ensure all permitting and utility coordination activities support schedule certainty and FAA continuity. + Follow agency policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. + Assist with project inspection, infrastructure inventory, and asset management. + Analyze and communicate procedural improvements. + Identify problems, recommend corrective actions, and communicate effectively with stakeholders through strong written and verbal communication skills (reports, correspondence, documentation). + Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal teams, government agencies, contractors, utility companies, and the public. Education, Experience and Certification + REQUIRED: High School or equivalent + Preferred : Bachelors; Degree in civil engineering, urban planning, business, project management or related field. + Preferred : Experience supporting FAA, airport, or government infrastructure projects. + Preferred : Experience in road, bridge, or utility-related construction preferred + Preferred : Familiarity with construction drawings and technical documentation. Working Conditions + Occasional exposure to construction site environments, including heat, cold, noise, dust, and active work zones. + Ability to conduct occasional site visits within airport or infrastructure settings. + This position is a 3-year term assignment contingent upon contract award. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities + Strong knowledge of right-of-way regulations, permitting processes, and utility coordination of best practices. + Proven ability to manage complex projects, prioritize competing deadlines, and mitigate risks. + Skilled in reading and interpreting construction drawings, plans, and technical data. + Excellent communication and negotiation skills with internal teams, contractors, agencies, and stakeholders. + Ability to mentor junior staff and provide technical guidance. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, project management, and tracking software. + Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills to support multiple high-priority projects simultaneously. Travel Requirements + Occasional travel (up to 25%) for site visits, agency coordination, and meetings.
