Directs the procurement, standardization, maintenance and distribution of quality supplies and equipment throughout the hospital and clinics. Serves as an internal consultant to the corporation to address materials management issues. Provides leadership in implementing Value Analysis initiatives. Facilitates and ensures compliance with Human Resources processes and programs. Manages budgetary resources within financial parameters. Develops and implements operational and strategic plans. Coordinates annual inventory counts. KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE: Bacheloru2019s Degree with emphasis on business administration, economics or a related field strongly preferred. Prefer at least five (5) years of experience as Material Management Director in the healthcare environment. Knowledge of CMS, Federal and state regulations for both acute care facilities. Demonstrate the ability for good interpersonal communication within the framework of healthcare and the business knowledge to manage conflict resolution. LICENSE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY: Professional Certification Preferred APTITUDES: Demonstrated ability and commitment to lifelong learning, to use good judgment to solve problems independently; Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations to analyze budgets, Demonstrated ability to multi-task, plan and use time wisely; Demonstrated ability to communicate in a professional and respectful manner, to adequately communicate ideas, to understand scientific and medical terminology, and to maintain effective working relationships with medical staff, nursing, staff, and others; Demonstrated ability to function effectively in a fast paced work environment, to handle pressure, and to maintain flexibility, integrity, and positive personal drive; Demonstrated ability to look to the future and establish a plan to move individuals or groups of individuals towards a goal; Ability to develop policies and procedures in the areas of procurement, inventory control, receiving and storage, distribution, duplicating and mail transport throughout the hospital.
