The main function of a sales manager directs the actual distribution or movement of a product or service to the customer. A typical sales manager coordinates sales distribution and analyzes sales statistics to determine sales potential and inventory requirements.u00a0Job Responsibilities:u2022 Recommend products to customers, based on customers' needs and interests.u2022 Contact regular and prospective customers to demonstrate products, explain product features, and solicit orders.u2022 Estimate or quote prices, credit or contract terms, warranties and delivery dates.u2022 Provide customers with product samples and catalogs.u2022 Consult with clients after sales or contract signings to resolve problems and to provide ongoing support.u2022 Identify prospective customers by using business directories, following leads from existing clients and attending trade shows and conferences.u2022 Monitor market conditions, product innovations, and competitors' products, prices and sales.u00a0Skills:u2022 Verbal and written communication skills, negotiation skills, customer service and interpersonal skills.u2022 Strong ability to work independently and manage one's time.u2022 Strong knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services.u00a0Education/Experience:u2022 Bachelor's degree in marketing or equivalent training required.u2022 8-10 years experience required.u00a0Typical Day in the Roleu2022Purpose of the Team: The purpose of this team is to identify, advance, and close cloud security (Sentinel) opportunities by combining technical security expertise with a sales motion, ensuring nonprofit customers across the U.S. and Canada move from technical engagement to purchase.u2022Key projects: This role will contribute to supporting multiple ongoing cloud security (Sentinel) opportunities and helps move engagements from technical discussion to deal closure.u00a0Candidate Requirementsu2022 Candidates MUST have their relevant security and sales experience (particularly Azure Sentinel) prepared prior to the assessment.u2022Best vs. Average: The ideal resume would contain hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure Sentinel cloud security solutions, paired with a strong security foundation and a customer-facing or sales background. The role requires the ability to articulate value, engage customers, and independently drive opportunities from technical discussion through deal closure while collaborating closely with technical specialists and cross-functional partners.
