YourRole: Employee is responsible to adhere to the GMP requirements definedwithin 21 CFR parts 210 &211, 820, ICH Q7, Safety standards set underISO 14001 & 45001. This position primarily involves the safe andefficient manufacturing of active pharmaceutical ingredients (API's)according to current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) requirements.The role of Associate Production Scientist is a lab-based role primarilyfocused on supporting and executing activities in the manufacturingenvironment, including but not limited to: executing existing productionprocedures, updating supporting documents, maintaining the safety andquality of the manufacturing process, and other production tasks asdirected. D shift is Thursday-Sunday 6:30pm-7:00am, then Friday-Sunday6:30pm-7:00am Demonstrate proper lab safety practices and comply withFDA, OSHA, EPA, DNR, DOT, and other regulatory guidelines. Operate asa primary operator in multiple cGMP production areas, including KiloLabs, and train secondary operators to achieve primary status. Draftpreliminary reports on deviations from procedures, identifying potentialcontributing factors. Utilize and update written procedures,including operation and batch records, with assistance from supervisors. Mentor new employees through technical and on-the-job training,fostering a collaborative team environment. Maintain safety andcleanliness in production areas, focusing on potent compound handlingtechniques and proper PPE usage. Communicate production statuseffectively using shift pass-off tools and computer systems, whileaddressing safety and process issues promptly. Take ownership ofdepartmental responsibilities, providing support through additionaltasks as directed by leadership. Physical Attributes: Working withhighly potent / hazardous materials. Standing for long periods oftime. Lifting and moving up to 50 pounds with the assistance ofequipment or teammates. Utilize proper personal protective equipment(PPE), including respiratory protection, lab coats, and full bodyprotection. Operate hand tools, calculators, and weighing/measuringdevices. Work in Class 1/Div 2 areas and near moving mechanicalparts. Who You Are: Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree inChemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or other Life Sciencediscipline. 1+ years of regulated pharmaceutical or chemicalproduction manufacturing experience in an academic or professionalsetting. Preferred Qualifications: Ability to read and understandwritten protocols. Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Office andOutlook tools, Electronic Document Management Systems, etc.). Effective oral and written communication skills. Basic mathematicalskills. Possess a high degree of motivation and self-starterattitude. Ability to multi-task while paying close attention todetail. Pay Range for this position: $27.00-$53.00 per hour The offerrange represents the anticipated low and high end of the base paycompensation for this position. The actual compensation offered will bedetermined by factors such as location, level of experience, education,skills, and other job-related factors.
