Middleware / Application Support Engineer

$100,000-$120,000 per year Raleigh, NC Direct Placement Key Responsibilities: Provide L2/L3 production support for enterprise applications and integrations Install, configure, patch, and maintain middleware platforms and web servers Monitor application performance, server health, and messaging components Troubleshoot complex application and middleware issues and perform root cause analysis Deploy applications in clustered and multi-environment setups Support application integrations and document generation processes Ensure adherence to security standards and best practices Coordinate with development teams and external vendors for issue resolution Manage escalations and maintain SLA commitments Automate routine operational tasks and deployments where possible Must-Have Skills: Experience supporting middleware platforms (JBOSS and/or Oracle WebLogic) Strong knowledge of application deployment (WAR/EAR) and clustered environments Hands-on experience providing L2/L3 production support Solid understanding of JVM concepts and troubleshooting techniques Experience with messaging systems (JMS queues and topics) Familiarity with performance monitoring and logging tools Strong problem-solving and communication skills Desired Skills: Experience with web servers such as IIS Exposure to document generation platforms or API integrations Knowledge of security protocols such as SSL/TLS
