Thisrole offers a unique opportunity for a candidate to provide designleadershipin partnership with our senior landscape architects andplanning teams, while also playing a strategic role inbusinessdevelopment, marketing, and staff growth.We are seeking a senior-level urban designer with strong design,leadership, and project management skills to deliver innovativesolutions for vibrant, resilient, and sustainable communities. The idealcandidate will bring creative vision, technical expertise, and theability to direct teams, mentor staff, manage projects, cultivateclients, and expand our practice in both Arizona and Colorado. This roleemphasizes leadership in integrating landscape architecture, urbandesign, transportation, master planning, development/redevelopment,public realm development, and parks and recreation systems planning.Who We Are:Founded in 1990, Logan Simpson is made up of a team of 150+ talentedprofessionals across six offices in the western United States. We take pride in addingnew staff members to our team who share our values of integrity,creativity, excellence, empowerment, stewardship, and teamwork.Your Key Responsibilities:- Provide senior expertise and leadership to our Design teams across multiple offices, collaborating closely with Community Planning, Environmental, Cultural Resources, Historic Preservation, and Housing teams.- Help lead project design direction and integrate urban design with landscape architecture, transportation, planning, and public realm initiatives.- Play an active role inbusiness development and marketing, including proposals, interviews, and client presentations, while strengthening client relationships.- Mentor and support professional and technical staff, fostering collaboration, skill development, and career growth.- Manage team workflows, schedules, and resources to meet project requirements.- Consistently embody the firm's vision, mission, and core values in your work and interactions.What Youll Bring:- Bachelors degree in Landscape Architecture, Urban Design, Architecture, City Planning, or a related field.- 10+ years of relevant consulting, agency, or municipal experience, including project management and client management.- Licensure or certification (PLA, AICP, CNU, LEED or equivalent).- Demonstrated leadership experience in directing teams, mentoring staff, and supporting professional growth.- Proven business development and marketing skills with the ability to cultivate and maintain client relationships.- Strong design portfolio demonstrating creativity and integration of urban design, planning, and landscape architecture.- Excellent project management skills, including scope, schedule, and budget oversight.- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities to work across disciplines and with clients.- Ability to work in the office an average of 3 days per week.- Valid drivers license and clean driving record.Preferred Qualifications:- Masters degree in a related field.- Experience in a multidisciplinary consulting environment.What We Offer:Compensation This is a full-time position paid on a salaried basisbetween $95,000 to $130,000 annually, depending on experience andeducation.Benefits A comprehensive benefits package which includes medical, dentaland vision plans, paid Life/AD&D, Short-Term and Long-Term Disabilitycoverage, a 401(k) with a firm match, and a robust Employee AssistanceProgram with free counseling and mental health services.Time Off Paid Time Off starting at 18 days per year available asaccrued, plus 9 paid holidays.Professional Development Support for professional conferences andtrainings, internal leadership development and innovation program,tuition reimbursement, bonus programs for peer-reviewed publications andacademic achievements, and work on a variety of interesting projects.
