Compensation Starting Pay Range: $23.00 Hourly _ PLEASE NOTE: This is a_ _hybrid_ _role, requiring this person to work at our Buffalo, NY office, two days per week._ __ Job Summary A Technician I will provide Tier I end-user service desk support by allocating, configuring, delivering, troubleshooting, and maintaining systems and software. A Technician I will support internal company corporate and remote site locations while having the ability to work a variety of shifts. Technician I will escalate issues that extend beyond the Tier I span of control. Directly supervised in all aspects of work. Duties & Responsibilities u2022 Resolve Service Desk tickets according to SLA u2022 Resolve customer issues via phone, email, and remote computer software u2022 Provide customer assistance by troubleshooting and resolving issues relating to computer systems, hardware, software, telecommunications, printers, and networking u2022 Accurately document customer interactions in a service desk ticketing system u2022 Escalate issues to the next tier with next level of difficulty u2022 Install, make changes, and repair computer hardware and software u2022 Follow-up with customers to ensure issues are resolved u2022 Follow detailed training and u201chow tou201d documents to resolve tickets Qualifications u2022 High school diploma or GED required u2022 Associate or bachelor's degree a plus u2022 Help Desk experience or work equivalent a plus u2022 A+ and/or Network+ certification a plus Competencies u2022 Basic technical experience with Windows operating systems and computer hardware u2022 Excellent customer service skills u2022 Eagerness to learn u2022 Enthusiastic and positive attitude u2022 Flexibility to work assigned shift which can include Saturdayu2019s as shift demands u2022 Detail oriented u2022 Highly organized to manage assigned Service Desk tickets to resolution u2022 Follow Service Desk practices and procedures Work Environment & Physical Requirements Performs sedentary work in an office environment with limited lifting (less than 10 pounds) or walking required. Close visual acuity required to perform work at computer terminal. No exposure to adverse environmental conditions. Requires repetitive typing, talking, hearing, grasping and feeling.
