JOB REQUIREMENTS: Description GAI is seeking a Transmission EngineeringManager 1 to join our Power Delivery team in the role of ProgramEngineering Manager. This position will report to the Transmission LineGroup Manager in our Power Delivery Engineering Business Sector inGAI's Power Business Unit. Required skills include transmission linedesign experience, critical thinking, problem solving, organization,team-focus, and eagerness to apply learned engineering principles tosolve real life problems.Qualified candidates are eligible for remotework. This position combines technical leadership in transmission linedesign with advisory responsibilities to support a program through allphases of project development and execution. The ideal candidate willhave experience in high-voltage transmission line engineering anddesign, and strong problem-solving skills. This individual should betechnically focused and a strong leader with developed technical,communication, and computer skills. This position will workcollaboratively with the Manager of Project Management for this program.The Transmission Engineering Manager 1 will have 12+ reports and beresponsible for $5,000,000+ annual revenue. Competency Knowledge ofelectric utility transmission line engineering and design. Knowledge ofproject management skills and uses of intermediate practices to increaseproductivity, efficiency, and accuracy. May serve as PM Coach to TaskManagers and other PMs. Job Responsibilities: Complete day-to-dayproject tasks as required for successful project delivery. Tasks mayinclude: Preparation of Specification Packages Preparation of Structuraland Fabrication Drawings Design and Analysis of Transmission Lines usingPLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, and PLS-Tower Design and Analysis of foundations.Analysis of existing and proposed structures with regard to Client andOther required codes, standards, and specifications. Performance ofElectrical Clearance checks and calculations. Coordination anddevelopment of permits for Railroads, Roadways, and EnvironmentalCrossings. Apply engineering principles to assist in the design of PowerDelivery Projects. Must demonstrate attention to detail. Demonstrateexcellent written and verbal communication skills. Perform complex taskstypically following established processes. Implements effectiveengineering methods, provides technical guidance, and acts as a resourcefor engineers and designers. Directly manages projects with no limit tothe number or value of individual projects managed. Coordinates anddevelops proposed scope, schedule, and fee for projects managed. Assistin quality control and quality assurance of active projects, providingpeer and final reviews and training of engineers and designers inquality control processes.
