From aerialinstallations to underground cabling and MDU projects, you'll supportdaily construction procedures, helping people connect to what mattersmost. What our Construction Technicians Enjoy Most About the RoleTravel, including overnight stays, is a regular part of the job. Hotelaccommodation and per diem are provided for overnight stays during thework week. Executing Groundwork Tasks such as digging and filling holesand trenches, burying conduit and cables, and restoring the site.Performing Aerial Installations by pulling lasher, strand, and cablefrom pole to pole. Ensuring Safety and Compliance by adhering to allsafety requirements, industry regulations, and company policies.Operating and Maintaining Crew Equipment and Vehicles following safetyrequirements. Working Conditions Construction Technicians work outdoorsin all kinds of weather and at various heights, including adverseconditions, day or night and often near power lines and electricity. Youare exposed to dust, dirt, noise, insects, rodents, pets, cleaningsolutions and may work indoors in poorly ventilated areas. Standing isrequired 50-70% of the time. Travel, including overnight stays, is aregular part of the job. Overtime, including weekends or a second shiftand on-call work may be required as needed. Required QualificationsValid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record. EducationHigh school diploma or equivalent. Experience Entry-level candidateswelcome; we provide training. Skills Close, peripheral vision, andability to adjust focus. Differentiate wire sizes and colors. Lift 75pounds, carry and operate a 28-foot, 75-pound ladder, and climb polesusing gaffs, hooks, and a climbing belt (350-pound weight limit). Workin tight spaces, crawling, bending, reaching, and twisting. Travel toassigned territories and company facilities, even in bad weather. Workoutside for long periods in all seasons and weather. Familiarity withcomputer systems and software. Preferred Qualifications Basic mathskills.
