Position Description: CGI is seeking a Senior S/4HANA SAP ABAP Developer to support a SAP S/4HANA Greenfield implementation project for a large government contract. As a Senior Developer, you will be involved in every stage of the application lifecycle, from design to deployment. You will be responsible for converting user requirements into technical design specifications and developing ABAP solutions aligned with those designs. You may also lead or guide other developers in maintainable development practices and during code reviews. This project operates in a fast-paced and dynamic environment that leverages Agile/Scrum methodologies to quickly build solutions based on customer requirements. You are encouraged to learn new technologies and recommend improvements to business processes. You will be successful in this role through strong technical skills, proactive problemu2011solving, quick learning, and excellent communication with our clients. This position is located in one of CGI Federal's offices in Fairfax, VA, Lebanon, VA, Lafayette, LA or Knoxville, TN; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable. You will be required to work in a CGI Federal office two days per week. Your future duties and responsibilities: u2022 Design and develop comprehensive solutions within the S/4HANA platform, ensuring scalability, performance, and alignment with complex business objectives. u2022 Develop and manage integrations between S/4HANA and external systems using modern technologies and protocols, ensuring seamless data flow and interoperability. u2022 Analyze and enhance system performance and business processes within S/4HANA, leveraging advanced tools and techniques to maximize efficiency and effectiveness. u2022 Utilize SAP Gateway Service Builder to develop SAP OData entities for consumption by external applications using HTTP(s) protocols. u2022 Participate in the analysis of customer business operations to validate requirements and scope, proactively suggesting process improvements. u2022 Work closely with business and technical teams to gather and analyze requirements, translating them into effective S/4HANA solutions aligned with organizational goals. u2022 Develop and maintain detailed SAP design and technical specification documents, and conduct thorough unit, integration, and release testing to ensure solution quality. Required qualifications to be successful in this role: u2022 Due to contract requirements, this position requires U.S. citizenship and the successful completion of a CGI background check prior to onboarding. Candidates must also be able to obtain and maintain a DHS EOD/Public Trust clearance. u2022 6+ years of SAP ABAP development and overall SAP experience. u2022 Experience with S/4HANA. u2022 Hands-on experience integrating backend SAP and nonu2011SAP applications. u2022 Hands-on experience with SAP ABAP development and HANA CDS Views. u2022 Implementation experience with SAP Fiori and SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP). u2022 Proficiency in working with web services, proxies, and APIs for system integration. u2022 Extensive technical expertise and hands-on experience with a wide range of ABAP technologies, including Reports, RFCs, Forms, Object-Oriented ABAP (OOP), BAPIs, Enhancements, BADIs, User Exits, Customer Exits, and Data Conversions (BDC, LSMW, IDocs, ALE, and Workflows). u2022 Strong debugging and performance tuning skills. u2022 Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and nonu2011technical audiences. u2022 Ability to analyze problems and provide clear recommendations. u2022 Ability to self-learn new technologies in the UI space with minimal supervision. Desired qualifications: u2022 Experience with the ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP). u2022 Certifications in Application Development, SAP BTP, or Agile methodologies. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $100,800.00 - $245,500.00.
