Job Description

Responsibilities:1. Construction Documentation:Develop plans, sections, schedules, details, controls, cost estimates, and specifications for mechanical systems.2. Engineering Design Analysis:Conduct mechanical system selection, energy and life cycle cost analysis, and ensure designs meet energy and sustainable design targets.3. Team Engagement: .Coordinate with other disciplines and project stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.4. Technical Expertise:Develop control strategies, calculations, system concepts, layouts, and designs.5. Mentorship:Provide guidance, mentorship, and technical support to junior engineers and staff members, fostering their professional growth.Requirements:- Bachelors degree in mechanical or architectural engineering or related field from an ABET accredited program. Master's degree preferred.- 11 - 15 years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in the consulting industry.- Professional Engineer (PE) license in the commonwealth of Virginia or ability to obtain within 6 months of employment.- Proficient knowledge of a variety of mechanical system designs, including DX packaged systems, hydronic systems, chilled water plants, heating water plants, and plumbing.- Proficiency in relevant software tools, such as AutoCAD, Revit, and HVAC design software.- Familiarity with relevant codes and guidelines.- Experience in sustainable design practices.- Excellent interdisciplinary coordination skills.- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.- US Citizenship requiredBenefits:WRA recognizes that employees play an important role in its success.
