About this role:We are seeking a Multifamily Investment Analyst to join our growing multifamily development team. This role is ideal for a finance professional with a strong background in multifamily underwriting who is eager to transition into a hands-on development environment.If you thrive in complex financial modeling, understand the nuances of multifamily capitalization, and want a front-row seat to the full development lifecycle — from acquisition through lease-up — this is an opportunity to expand your impact. You will work directly with senior leadership and play a meaningful role in shaping investment decisions for EYAs multifamily platform.The Opportunity:The Multifamily Investment Analyst will serve as the lead financial analyst for EYAs multifamily platform. This individual will be responsible for underwriting new development opportunities, structuring capital stacks, and supporting investments from initial feasibility through stabilization and investor reporting.You will comprehensively participate in the acquisition and development financial process from start to finish — working side-by-side with experienced executives on complex urban infill and multifamily projects.Key Responsibilities:1. Financial Modeling & UnderwritingBuild, maintain, and audit complex multifamily development pro formasModel waterfall structures and alternative financing scenariosStructure and analyze debt and equity capitalization strategiesPerform detailed scenario analyses and sensitivity testingEvaluate unit mix, rent comps, operating assumptions, and return metricsIdentify risks, validate assumptions, and present investment recommendations to senior leadership2. Investment & Feasibility AnalysisUnderwrite new acquisition and development opportunitiesConduct comprehensive financial due diligenceEvaluate and interpret market data, third-party reports, and financial statementsPrepare investment memoranda and materials for internal approval and capital partners3. Capital Markets & Investor SupportSupport preparation of offering memoranda and capital raise materialsAssist with lender negotiations and equity partner coordinationContribute to investor reporting and performance updatesSupport financing activities during asset management and lease-up4. Development Coordination & ExecutionTrack development milestones, budgets, and schedulesCollaborate cross-functionally with development, construction, asset management, and capital partnersSupport financial oversight through lease-up and stabilizationGrow into broader development exposure and increasing responsibility over timeWhat Were Looking For:Required:Bachelors degree in Finance, Real Estate, Business, or related field3-5 years of experience in real estate underwriting, acquisitions, or capital marketsDirect experience underwriting multifamily assets (debt or equity)Advanced financial modeling skills with strong real estate pro forma experienceDemonstrated experience modeling capital stacks and waterfall structuresStrong analytical rigor and exceptional attention to detailAbility to clearly present complex financial analyses to senior leadershipStrong written and verbal communication skillsIntellectual curiosity, ownership mentality, and comfort operating in a lean, entrepreneurial environmentPreferred Backgrounds:Capital markets or brokerage firm experience with multifamily focusInstitutional or large-scale real estate development firms with formal financial trainingAbout EYAEYA is an award-winning residential developer and builder headquartered in downtown Bethesda, MD.
