General Maintenance I - NHA-NC-Custodial

Job DescriptionAramark is hiring General Maintenance Technicians (Handyman roles) to support day-to-day facilities maintenance across assigned buildings. This position focuses on general repairs, upkeep, and basic building maintenance rather than licensed trades work.This role is ideal for candidates with hands-on handyman or general maintenance experience, especially those coming from:Schools or school districtsApartment or multi-family housingRetail or commercial buildingsOffice parks or institutional facilitiesCompensation Range: $27.00 - $30.00/hrJob Responsibilities Responsibilities vary by location but commonly include:Perform general building repairs and routine maintenanceFix and maintain doors, locks, hardware, windows, and fixturesRepair minor appliances, furniture, and office equipmentPatch drywall, perform light painting, and basic carpentry repairsReplace ceiling tiles, flooring tiles, and minor wall repairsConduct routine inspections of assigned areas and address issues as neededComplete daily, weekly, or monthly preventive maintenance tasksSafely use hand tools and basic maintenance equipmentRespond to maintenance requests and report larger issues when escalation is neededFollow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work areaAt Aramark, developing new skills and doing what it takes to get the job done make a positive impact for our employees and for our customers. In order to meet our commitments, job duties may change or new ones may be assigned without formal notice.Qualifications HVAC Certification preferredPrevious general maintenance, handyman, or building maintenance experience preferredExperience from schools, apartments, retail, or commercial facilities strongly valuedAbility to troubleshoot and complete basic repairs independentlyStrong attention to detail and follow-throughPositive attitude and customer-service mindsetAbility to work independently or as part of a teamWillingness to learn and follow established maintenance proceduresHVAC troubleshooting, electrical, plumbing & general maintenanceThis role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing.
