If you’re passionate about planning and want to join a company that invests in your success and the global community, consider joining us as a Transportation Planner in Florida.As part of our team, you’ll support—and in some cases lead as Project Manager or Technical Lead—a variety of transportation planning efforts, including multimodal corridor studies, feasibility studies, service planning, long-range plans, and other transportation programs. This is your opportunity to work on engaging projects that impact communities across Florida and support FDOT initiatives.You’ll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of planners, engineers, designers, scientists, and environmental specialists on projects both locally and nationally. This role offers motivated individuals the chance to provide leadership and influence within Jacobs’ growing transportation and land-use planning practice in Florida.What You’ll DoConduct planning studies, stakeholder engagement, and prepare deliverables for:Multimodal transportation systemsTransit networks, facilities, and corridorsActive transportation networks, trails, and pathsSustainable transportation and traffic developmentEmerging mobility and innovative technologyLocal land use planningSocial and economic inclusionPrepare transportation planning documents, including long-range regional plans, transit plans, facility plans, service plans, and environmental studiesPerform needs analysis, develop and evaluate alternatives, and create short- and long-range strategies to support agency staff in delivering projects and programsEngage with clients, subconsultants, and stakeholders—with opportunities to serve as client leadSupport business development pursuits and help build strong client relationshipsContribute to expanding the transportation planning teamAssist with Federal, State, and Local grant applications Here's what you'll need Bachelor’s degree in Planning, Policy, Engineering, or a related fieldAt least 8 years of experience in transportation and land use planning, analysis, and studiesDemonstrated experience working on transportation projects within FDOT, including direct engagement with agency officials and local stakeholdersExperience in planning, land use, active transportation, transit, and/or multimodal corridorsExperience leading PD&E studies or similar environmental planning processesProject management and leadership experience as a planner, task manager, or project manager in transportation planningStrong client-facing skills with experience managing small and large transportation planning projectsAbility to develop and deliver technical presentations to stakeholders, regulatory agencies, and/or the publicIdeally, You'll Also HavePE, AICP, or ability to obtainPrevious experience with FDOT, Metropolitan Planning Organizations (MPOs), Counties, or Municipal transportation projectsA multi-faceted background, including public sector project experienceAdvanced technical writing abilitiesExperience facilitating discussions and presenting complex informationProficiency in ESRI ArcGIS, Adobe Creative Cloud, and Microsoft Office applications Posted Salary Range: Minimum 92,000.00 Posted Salary Range: Upper 132,900.00 Our health and welfare benefits are designed to invest in you, and in the things you care about. And certain roles may be eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, performance discretionary bonus, and stock. The base salary range for this position is $92,000.00 to $132,900.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
