Essential FunctionsLead various disciplines in the completion of technically complex structural repairs and refurbishment projects.Responsible for design and implementation of improvement and modernization (I&M) projects.Define clear goals for all aspects of a project and develop steps for their proper executionCalculate the loads and stresses acting on ALTAIR Antenna and other structures on Kwajalein Atoll.Prepare reports,designsand drawings.Consider the strength of construction materials and select appropriately.Providetechnical advice on safe designs and construction.Analyze configurations of the basic components of a structure.Maintain the project schedule and budget.Monitor and inspect all work undertaken to ensure structural soundnessProvide operations and maintenance support for radar hardware systems.Apply advanced technical principles, techniques,theoriesand concepts that will help solve sometimes unusual complex technicalproblems andprovide solutions which are highly innovative.Other duties as assigned.Required SkillsAdvanced knowledge of construction methods,materialsand legal regulations.Sound understanding of physics and mathematics.Ability to liaise with professionals from other disciplines.Three-dimensional conceptual skills.Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills.Meticulous attention to detail withthe superborganizational skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Strong communications skills are required including the ability to interface directly with external customers.Proficient using Windows Office Suit and MS Project.Required ExperienceBachelor’sDegreeinMechanical,Structural or Civil Engineering.Five or more years of relatedexperience.Experience in project management.Experience with using Visio, AutoCAD,SolidWorksand MATLABWeapons test range systems O&M experience is desirable.Professional Engineer license, preferred.Certifications in Non-Destructive Testing methods such as Ultrasonic Testing, Die Penetrant, and Mag Particle are preferred.Certifications in Corrosion Prevention and Control are preferred.Additional Eligibility QualificationsMust be able to obtain andmaintaina DoDSecretsecurity clearance, whichrequiresU.S. Citizenship.Willingness and physical ability to work at heights up to feet.Willingness and physical ability to carry equipment weighing 40 pounds unassisted.Must be able torelocateto the United States Army Kwajalein Atoll, Marshall Islands.Must be able to obtain andmaintaina U.S. passport.The flexibility to work occasional non-duty hours or on weekends to support specific project or mission requirements.Benefits of Working at RGNextRGNext offers our team of experienced, professional employees an environment of challenging, stimulating and personally and professionally rewarding career opportunities and growth.
