Working collaboratively with, patients, families and the interdisciplinary care team, the SLP develops individualized treatment plans to improve communication and swallowing function while promoting independence and quality of life.Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) Duties and Responsibilities:Conduct comprehensive assessments of patient's speech, language, voice, fluency, cognitive-communication, and swallowing abilitiesDevelop and implement individualized treatment plans based on evaluation findings and evidence-based practices.Provide skilled therapy sessions, including exercises, strategies, and interventions to address speech and swallowing disordersMonitor and document patient progress accurately, adjusting treatment plans as needed.Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapy techniques, communication strategies, and home exercisesMaintain compliance with facility policies, state licensure requirements, and professional standards of practice.Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) Qualifications and Skills:Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in the state of MissouriStrong clinical skills in evaluation, treatment, and documentationExcellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a collaborative healthcare teamAt The Grove at Kirkwood, we believe that happy staff equals happy residents!
