Our client is seeking a Quality Engineer to join their team in Grant, MI. The Quality Engineer will be responsible for planning, supporting, and implementing quality assurance programs that impact product integrity, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement initiatives across new and existing , engineering-driven settings and are passionate about solving problems, optimizing processes, and championing quality at every step of the production lifecycle. Responsibilities:-Plan, implement, and maintain quality assurance programs for automotive manufacturing operations.-Design, specify, and oversee installation of quality control sampling systems, testing mechanisms, and equipment.-Create and support quality policies, procedures, and development of quality standards.-Investigate and resolve product and process issues using structured problem-solving tools.-Serve as a liaison between internal teams and external partners (suppliers, customers, auditors).-Monitor cost, timing, and scope of quality-related initiatives and ensure alignment with project milestones.-Analyze supplier performance, provide feedback, and support product or process improvements.-Lead continuous improvement efforts, driving efficiency and effectiveness across operations.-Perform comparative analysis to ensure use of optimal quality assurance techniques.-Provide leadership, guidance, and direction to support personnel as needed. Qualifications:-Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical discipline (or equivalent experience).-2+ years of quality engineering experience in the automotive sector.-Solid understanding of IATF 16949 regulations -Familiarity with ISO/TS standards, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, and other automotive quality tools.-Proficiency with standard and specialized test equipment, data analysis, and reporting tools.
