In this fast-paced role, your communication and problem-solving skills will keep our teams and customers connected.Key ResponsibilitiesDispatching & Logistics Management Provides schedules and dispatches delivery crews in a safe and efficient manner while maximizing branch profitabilityResponsible for the accurate and efficient communication and distribution of all delivery orders to branch warehouse and delivery staffUses and maintains Department of Transportation (DOT) dispatch software to above-target FBM compliance percentageProvide instruction to drivers if a logistical or customer service issue should ariseCalls to confirm address, material, stocking conditions, and any other needed information on ALL deliveries BEFORE the truck leaves the FBM warehouseLogistics Oversight Manages the material accuracy/verification process for each truck pre-deliveryMonitors and reports (as needed or requested) on labor costs for each deliveryCommunication & Service Establishes, builds, and maintains customer relationshipsCommunicates effectively with customers, sales, and management regarding delivery statusesProfessional, courteous, and ongoing contact with customers before, during and after a saleCommunicate any concerns or issues directly to Branch ManagerMust attend all required meetings in relation to deliveries and overall companyMiscellaneous Support our values in the stated areas of Safety, Customer Focus, Teamwork, integrity and being a Company of Choice for both employees and customersAdhered to all company policies and procedures, DOT and OSHA standardsOther duties as assignedQualificationsBilingual (Spanish) preferredBuilding products knowledge strongly preferredStrong computer knowledge/ data entry skills requiredPrevious experience preferredAbility to quickly and accurately perform basic math skillsAssertive - demonstrated ability to “take charge” and be pro-active when necessaryStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to quickly read a road/ geographical map and communicate directions to someone elseDemonstrated effective (polite, organized, questioning) telephone skillsFlexibility/adaptability in personal work schedule and in product/delivery schedulingStrong organizational skillsApproaches job assignments with positive 'can do' attitudeEffective interpersonal skills with customers and peersDemonstrated ability to follow instructions with limited guidanceReports ToBranch ManagerCompensation The listed pay range reflects the expected base rate for this position; actual compensation may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, and cost of living in the assigned market.
