A loving and active family in Miami, FL is seeking two warm, experienced, and engaging ROTA nannies to provide collaborative care for their one-year-old son. The parents are actively involved, and the candidate must be comfortable not having the baby full-time during the day. The candidates must be flexible, and there will be some days when the role will be more of a “spot check,” where mom and baby will be out by themselves during the day. Candidates must be local to Miami, as the position will be live-in while on duty, but living accommodations will not be provided for the off-duty weeks. No fly-in/fly-out arrangements. The general schedule will be 2 weeks on /2 weeks off with 24/7 during shift. The family is also open to 1 week on/off. In addition to the general schedule, the family would be appreciative of candidates who are willing to do one month on/off in the summer. The ideal candidate is reliable, collaborative, and deeply knowledgeable about early childhood development.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Work in partnership with the parentsAll aspects of full-charge care when requiredMaintain all daily routines: naps, meals, and activity schedulesMeal prep and food weaningChild-related housekeeping: laundry, tidying nursery, sterilizing bottles, organizing suppliesTravel preparation: packing/unpacking, planning logisticsEngage the child in age-appropriate play and enrichment activitiesSupport developmental milestones through tracking and active participationProvide a warm, structured, and nurturing environmentHelp with light cooking (Plus if comfortable preparing simple family meals)Travel with family domestically and eventually internationallyPrior experience caring for infants through elementary-school-aged children in a career nanny role. Rota preferred.Deep understanding of infant development and the ability to proactively meet the child’s needsThe parents are actively involved, and the candidate must know when to fade in and out of the background while still tending to child-related tasks, and know when to step back in, especially when the family is sharing an intimate momentHave a level ofsophistication when interacting and addressing the family’s broader family and guestsEmotionally intelligent, professional, and discreetStrong team player who is also capable of taking initiative while being respectful of parents’ wishesFriendly positive demeanorActive and engagingAbility to provide structure and consistency in a loving and kind mannerIntuitive and thoughtful approachExcellent communicator and fluent in EnglishSpanish-speaking a plus, but not requiredComfortable and confident in and around water and on a boat (strong swimmer)Valid driver's license and clean driving recordWilling and able to travel domestically and internationallyHolds current CPR certification and up-to-date vaccinations (MMR, Tdap)Energetic with high stamina for long daysLegal to work in the U.S.The family is offering an annualized salary of $100k.
