About the Role: As a Technician 1,you will be responsible for the installation and maintenance of low voltagecabling infrastructure within a data center environment. This role involvesrunning cables, connecting wires, and ensuring proper installation of allinternal infrastructure. You will work under supervision, performing tasks withinstalled cables, and adhering to safety protocols. The position may requireworking both indoors and outdoors, sometimes in confined or elevated spaces,and interacting with customers to address concerns and provide support. What Youu2019ll Do: u00b7 Installation/decommissioningof network and cabling infrastructure in a Data Center environment. u00b7 Deliversustainable and repeatable solutions and processes, always with an eye on improvement. u00b7 Providestructured feedback on project progress to Stakeholders. u00b7 Exhibitquality workmanship on all work and maintain Data Center cleanliness. u00b7 Followall production, safety and quality standards, codes, and industry best practices. u00b7 Collaboratewith various Stakeholders to remove project obstacles. u00b7 Readingand comprehending blueprints and building documentation/redline work. u00b7 Broadunderstanding of Data Center infrastructure technologies. What Youu2019ll Need: u00b7 Knowledgeand use of basic telecom hand tools. u00b7 Mustunderstand customer service. u00b7 Clearunderstanding of job safety requirements. u00b7 Beable to read and understand floor plans. u00b7 Shouldbe familiar on wiring schemes and wiring testing. u00b7 Shouldbe able to pull all types of low voltage cable. u00b7 Shouldunderstand and be capable in performing field terminations and labeling. u00b7 Reportsto Operations Manager and take daily directions from Technician, Technician II,Lead Technicians, Senior Technicians and Advance Senior Technicians. u00b7 Capableof maintaining orderly paperwork, capable of running service jobs. u00b7 Possessskill to layout MDF and IDF closets, be able to dress all types of cable, andperform all type of terminations. u00b7 Capableof working in Data Centers u00b7 Shallbe able to install ladder racking and seismic bracing both above and underraise floor. u00b7 Basicunderstanding of both copper and fiber cable testing and troubleshooting. u00b7 Readand understand blueprints and design document u00b7 Dressand furcate fiber trunks for splicing u00b7 Maintainingorderly paperwork and running service u00b7 FusionSplice including Ribbon/Single OSP/ISP u00b7 Install,connect, and decom network equipment u00b7 OperateDSX 5000 tester/OTDR Tester u00b7 Programtesters u00b7 Downloadtest results to Linkware/Linkware Live u00b7 Savetest results, verify, and submit to customer u00b7 Createmass labels and apply per Portmap u00b7 Differentiatelive cables from decom cable u00b7 Coppertesting and troubleshooting u00b7 ConductService Swaps of live networking devices u00b7 Understand
