This is an intermittent Fee Basis appointment. Responsibilities The South Texas VA Health Care System is seeking applications for a Fee Basis Gastroenterology position at the Audie L. Murphy Memorial Veterans Hospital in San Antonio, TX. The Gastroenterology Physician specializes in diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the digestive organs, including the stomach, bowels, liver and gall bladder. This specialist treats conditions such as abdominal pain, ulcers, diarrhea, cancer and jaundice and performs complex diagnostic and therapeutic procedures using endoscopes to see internal organs. VA offers a comprehensive total rewards package. VHA Physician Total Rewards. Work Schedule: Intermittent, as needed. Fee Basis; pays based on the specific task or service provided. Requirements Conditions of Employment U.S. Citizenship; non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy.
