This individual will support the administration of Deferred Compensation plans (409A) and 401(k) plans. The role includes, among other responsibilities, verifying and confirming deferred compensation distribution amounts for payroll processing and disbursements, maintaining and updating employee demographic data, ensuring adherence to administrative policies and IRS regulatory requirements, supporting 401(k) plan audits and compliance activities, and communicating plan rules to participants and partners. What You'll Do + Administer Deferred Compensation distribution payments to ensure accurate disbursement amounts, in accordance with the established schedule, participant distribution events such as vesting, scheduled distributions, separation of service, death, and domestic relations orders (DRO). + Assist with Employer Discretionary allocation reviews of the non-qualified plans, including developing and communicating project timelines, delivering final allocation data, processing contribution wire deposits, and drafting participant communications. + Maintain and update non-qualified plan brochures and internal reference materials. + Collaborate with vendors and internal stakeholders to investigate and resolve data discrepancies, file transmission errors (inbound/outbound), and gaps between vendor recordkeeping systems and payroll records. + Respond to participant inquiries regarding plan-related topics, including eligibility, contribution details, distribution payments, and vesting calculations. + Assist team members in compiling and analyzing year-end Compensation data from multiple payroll systems to determine which employee is qualified as Highly Compensated Employees (HCEs). + Assist team members in collecting and submitting the required 401(k) Non-Discrimination testing data as requested by the plan recordkeeper. + Contribute to team initiatives and special projects as assigned. + Recommend process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and data accuracy. What You'll Need + 4+ year college degree preferred. + 4+ years' experience administering non-qualified deferred compensation plans (409 A) and 3+ years 401(k) experience preferred. + Proficient in interpreting 409(a) and 401(k) regulations and plan rules, and applying them to operational processes, while clearly communicating requirements to participants and clients. + Solid foundation in accounting to support accurate analysis, informed decision-making, and the reconciliation of audit and contribution discrepancies. + Intermediate user of Microsoft Word and Excel, skilled in functions, formulas, and data management; working knowledge of Fidelity (PSW), Workday, and PeopleSoft. + Excellent verbal and written communication. + Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment. The typical hourly pay rate for this position is shown below and is negotiable depending upon experience and location. $30.77 - $46.15 Benefits are available to contract/temporary professionals, including medical, vision, and dental, and life and disability insurance.
