Accounts Receivable Specialist

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team in Victor, New York. In this Contract to permanent position, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing accounts receivable processes to ensure timely and accurate financial operations. This role is ideal for individuals with strong analytical skills and a commitment to maintaining high levels of accuracy in financial transactions. Responsibilities: u2022 Process and reconcile accounts receivable transactions, ensuring timely and accurate posting. u2022 Oversee cash application processes to allocate payments correctly and efficiently. u2022 Conduct commercial collections activities to follow up on outstanding invoices and resolve payment discrepancies. u2022 Generate and review billing statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies. u2022 Monitor and analyze cash activity to identify trends and support financial decision-making. u2022 Collaborate with internal teams to address customer inquiries related to accounts receivable. u2022 Maintain detailed records of all accounts receivable activities for audit and reporting purposes. u2022 Assist in improving accounts receivable workflows to enhance operational efficiency. u2022 Support month-end closing processes by providing necessary documentation and reports. u2022 Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies throughout all accounts receivable operations. Requirements u2022 Proven experience in accounts receivable management or a related financial role. u2022 Strong knowledge of cash application processes and commercial collections. u2022 Familiarity with billing functions and financial reconciliation procedures. u2022 Proficiency in analyzing cash activity and identifying financial trends. u2022 Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. u2022 Ability to communicate effectively with internal teams and external customers. u2022 Competence in using financial software and tools for accounts receivable tasks. u2022 Understanding of financial regulations and compliance requirements.
