Assistant MEP Engineer

Actively looking for a Mechanical Engineer to support HVAC and plumbing system design Description + Seeking a Assistant Engineer with 1u20133 years of experience to support HVAC and plumbing system design. + Assist in the design and layout of HVAC and plumbing systems for commercial and institutional buildings + Perform basic engineering calculations, equipment sizing, and system selections under supervision + Develop construction documents including plans, schedules, and details using AutoCAD and/or Revit + Coordinate with senior engineers, architects, and other disciplines + Support field surveys, site visits, and existing conditions documentation + Assist with responses to RFIs, submittal reviews, and construction administration tasks + Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements Additional Skills & Qualifications + Bacheloru2019s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field + 1u20133 years of experience in HVAC and plumbing design (internship or co-op experience considered) + Working knowledge of HVAC systems (air handling units, VAV systems, boilers, chillers, etc.) + Basic understanding of plumbing systems (domestic water, sanitary, storm, gas) + Familiarity with AutoCAD and/or Revit + Knowledge of NYS and applicable mechanical/plumbing codes preferred + Strong organizational skills and attention to detail + Effective written and verbal communication skills Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Oneida, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $31.25 - $38.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
