Summary: In this role, the Swiss Lathe Machinist will program and operate Tsugami Swiss lathes, along with CNC lathes and CNC mills, to manufacture precision prototype and production parts. The ideal candidate is highly experienced with Swiss machining, capable of working independently, and comfortable machining ultra-tight tolerances in a low-volume, high-mix environment. Tasks and Responsibilities: + Program, set up, and operate Tsugami Swiss lathes (core focus), CNC lathes, and CNC mills + Machine prototype and production parts with minimal supervision + Write and edit CNC programs using programming software (Mastercam, Partmaker) + Analyze blueprints, job orders, and specifications to ensure correct dimensions and tolerances + Manufacture parts to ultra-tight tolerances (as tight as u00b10.0001
