Job Summary and Qualifications Join our team as a PreOp Registered Nurse in our ambulatory surgery center. You will be responsible for planning, executing, and evaluating the nursing care rendered preoperatively for your patients. What you will do in this role: + Prepare your patientsu2019 care area adequately before case + Ensure availability of necessary equipment and supplies for your patientsu2019 procedures + Conduct complete physical and psychological assessment and evaluation of your patientsu2019 history and diagnostic your patientsu2019 charts for completeness prior to surgery + Administer pre-operative medications and intravenous therapy as prescribed + Monitor your patients until transferred to the OR Qualifications you will need: + Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma or Higher degree in Nursing Required + 1+ years of nursing experience in a clinical setting, preferably in PACU, ICU or Surgery + Active RN license as required by state of employment + BCLS Certification upon employment. online certification not acceptable + ACLS required within 30-days of hire + PALS if required by facility within 30-days of hire Benefits Kissimmee Surgery Center, offers a total rewards package that supports the health, life, career and retirement of our colleagues.
