Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: u2022 Demonstrates proficient use of the English language in verbal and written form. u2022 Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and knowledge of electronic medical records, specifically Cerner. u2022 Knowledge of regulatory agency requirements, including but not limited to Joint Commission, OSHA, and specific healthcare-related standards. u2022 Self-motivation, determination, effective time management, and the ability to work a varied schedule, including night and weekend hours. u2022 Excellent communication skills, both orally and in writing, with the ability to communicate effectively and present information to both large and small groups. u2022 Ability to maintain mental and emotional stability, demonstrating courtesy, calm, kindness, compassion, integrity, respect, sense of humor, discretion, and confidentiality in all interactions. u2022 Critical thinking/problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide leadership, direction, solve complex problems, and participate in Performance Improvement initiatives. u2022 Strong teamwork abilities, including tact and conflict resolution, organizational, multitasking, prioritization skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with healthcare team members. u2022 Knowledge of budgets, healthcare finance, leadership capabilities, and the ability to lead and teach effectively. u2022 Demonstrates the ability to read, write, type legibly, and follow standard precaution guidelines for infection control. u2022 Ability to learn and apply computer-related applications and programs, including the use of electronic keyboards and other peripheral devices. u2022 Accurate documentation within the electronic medical record and knowledge of nursing skills in compliance with legal and ethical parameters. u2022 Demonstrates Human Resource Management and Financial Management competencies, critical thinking skills, and the utilization of technology in relation to unit operations and patient care. u2022 Acts as a role model for professionalism in the workplace.
