Job Description We are seeking a detail-oriented Mechanical Designer with strong proficiency in Solidworks to support the design, development, and documentation of mechanical components and assemblies. This role works closely with engineering, manufacturing, and project teams to translate concepts into accurate, production-ready designs. Responsibilities Include + Create 2D drawings and 3D models using SolidWorks. + Develop detailed mechanical designs, assemblies, and layouts. + Prepare manufacturing drawings, including GD&T and BOMs. + Revise and maintain existing designs based on engineering changes. + Collaborate with engineers and cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet functional and manufacturability requirements. + Support prototype development and design validation efforts. + Ensure designs comply with applicable standards, specifications, and safety requirements. + Maintain organized design files and documentation. Skills & Qualifications + 8+ years of experience in mechanical design + Associateu2019s degree or higher in Mechanical Design, Engineering Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience) + Proficiency in Solidworks (2D and 3D modeling, assemblies, drawings) + Strong understanding of mechanical principles, materials, and manufacturing processes + Experience creating detailed fabrication and assembly drawings + Ability to read and interpret engineering specifications and blueprints + Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Port Clinton, OH. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
