Sheet Metal Forming Fabricator Pay: $20-22/Hour Location: Auburn, WA Shift: 7AM-3:30PM Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Sheet Metal Forming Fabricator to join our team in designing, building, and manufacturing aerospace structures, systems, and components for various aerospace customers. The role involves being a productive and responsible member of the team, supporting production by assembling parts, operating machinery, and working with metal products. This entry-level position welcomes candidates with diverse backgrounds as long as they demonstrate the attitude and aptitude to learn and grow within the aerospace industry. Responsibilities + Assemble parts and operate machinery as instructed by supervisors. + Engage in bending, punching, hand forming, deburring, or sawing of metal products. + Support the quality policy, mission statement, and other policies by ensuring customer satisfaction, quality products, lean processes, continuous improvement, and on-time delivery. + Uphold safety standards, teamwork, individual accountability, and respect for people. Essential Skills + Experience with mechanics, hand tools, and fabrication. + Proficiency in blueprint reading and using calipers. + Ability to operate power tools and machinery, including CNC and sheet metal fabrication. + Basic understanding of process flows, lead times, and lean principles in manufacturing. + Strong team player with reliability and knowledge of safe lifting techniques. Additional Skills & Qualifications + High school diploma or general education degree (GED). + Three to six months of related experience and/or training. + Knowledge of punching process, punch tooling, roll forming with sheet metal, brake forming, and roll forming is a plus. + Willingness to learn and an interest in the aerospace industry. Work Environment The work takes place in a clean manufacturing shop that processes steel and sheet metal to manufacture parts for Boeing. The environment can be heavy and loud, but it is well-organized. Employees are expected to work the Monday-Friday daytime shift with the flexibility to work overtime when needed, including weekends. The role involves standing, using hands for various tasks, and occasionally requires lifting heavy objects. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Auburn, WA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your jobclassification and length of employment.
